Clavulanic Acid 125 mg
Mechanism of Action
Faropenem inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death.
Clavulanic Acid is a β-lactamase inhibitor that protects Faropenem from enzymatic degradation, thereby enhancing and broadening its antibacterial spectrum.
Indications / Uses
This combination is indicated in:
Respiratory tract infections (acute bronchitis, sinusitis, pneumonia)
ENT infections
Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
Skin and soft tissue infections
Gynecological infections
Dental and odontogenic infections
Mixed and resistant bacterial infections
Dosage
Usual adult dose: One tablet twice daily, or as directed by the physician
Duration depends on infection severity and clinical response
Administration
To be taken after meals to minimize gastric discomfort
